It is important that when you come to therapy that you feel comfortable and know that I will offer you nonjudgmental support while providing space that feels inclusive and comforting. I have often heard that I am approachable and easy to talk to and this is what I offer my clients. Someone to listen to their challenges and offer support in ways that matter to them.
My approach to therapy allows for looking at the whole person. I believe in taking a compassionate and non-judgmental stance to guide and empower clients through their journey of personal growth. My areas of clinical focus are anxiety and depression, difficulties relating to others, challenges with emotion regulation, burnout/stress, and life changes. I aim to use a broad array of theoretical approaches to fit your unique needs; including CBT, IFS, attachment, mindfulness, and person-centered therapies.
I provide individual counselling to people aged 10 and above and couples counselling including premarital therapy and some family therapy.
I am a settler living and working in Treaty 1 territory, and work to be an ally toward truth and reconciliation. My practice is LGBTQIA+ – allied and everyone is welcome. Outside of therapy, I enjoy time with my family and friends including my partner and our wonderful pets. Various ways in which I take care of myself are attending yoga classes, baking, reading, tending to my plants and garden, and being out and about exploring this great province.
