Hi, I’m Jenny (they/she)! Nice to meet you. The world is a hard place to be a human and I am all about doing what I can to bring some safety, play and care to the experience. I have a background in gender studies, community organizing and harm reduction work, all of which inform my approach and orientation in my work with folks.
My approach to care is rooted in intersectional, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed frameworks, recognizing that the trauma and harm that comes to us is most often a result of the oppressive systems we live within rather than an internal flaw that needs “fixing”.
I work predominantly with queer, trans and neurodivergent folks. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, perfectionism, transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration and trauma. My integrative approach to care embraces relational, narrative, emotion-focused, strengths-based and trauma-informed modalities.
The world can feel too fast, too soon, and too much. In my work with clients, I aim to embody warmth, curiosity, and a gentleness that allows you to slow down. I use a collaborative and contextual approach to my counselling work; you know yourself and your world best, and I invite you to bring all the parts of yourself to our work together.
