I am a registered social worker with over 20 years experience working with various populations. I am compassionate, empathetic, and honest.
There are no shortage of people offering counseling. What I do is offer psychotherapy through a social work lense, as a change agent. Experienced in providing various evidence based therapeutic modalities with which to bring about change like CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, Solution Focused therapy, Interpersonal therapy, as well as some other anecdotally based modalities that lean into a more holistic and energy focused approach such as Neurolingistics and others.
I am here to offer time limited, 3-6 months psychotherapy aimed at improving your coping skills and your tolerance of the circumstances causing you stress and upset. There are always exceptions, but if we’re engaged for years than one of us is not doing our part, and that shouldn’t ever be me.
Life is hard. Life is long, but it is also very short and in no time, moments pass you by. I cannot change the circumstances of your life, but together we can change your relationship to those circumstances so you can feel more in control, rather than your circumstances controlling the direction of your life.
Lasting change is a process, a journey I can take with you, I will tell you like it is, I will support you and encourage you. Most of all I WILL help you, in every way I know how.
