Jessica Lindsey-Luckett (she/her) is a Therapist-in-Training. Her approach is relational, and informed by Strengths-Based, Solution-Focused and Somatic approaches, and Expressive Arts Therapy. Jessica has a calm and gentle presence, helping you to regulate your nervous system, fully be yourself and express what’s true for you in the moment. Jessica will collaborate with you to work towards your desired outcomes using strategies that work for you. She provides a safe enough space to talk about your experiences and challenges and explore them a little deeper, and may include techniques such as mindfulness, body awareness and grounding, and the use of the arts modalities.
Jessica’s training and experience cover a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, OCD, suicidality, neurodivergence, relationships, social anxiety, self-esteem, substance use, lgbtq+ and gender identities, grief and loss, major life changes and spirituality. She offers gentle ways to process and integrate traumatic experiences without re-traumatizing.
Jessica has a background of over ten years working in community agencies supporting adults with complex histories of loss, illness and trauma. She is trauma-informed, aware of the effect of social systems on health and wellbeing, and inclusive and client-centred around how people relate to identities and challenges. She has experience working with communities including the 2SLGBTQI+ community, frontline workers, people with experiences of neurodivergence and disability, newcomers to Canada, people with experiences of homelessness, and people who use substances.
