Welcome. Reaching out for support is such a courageous decision to make and I am here to support you through this journey. I believe in bearing witness to your pain—no one should have to suffer alone, and everyone deserves to feel supported, heard, seen, and valued. With 19 years of experience as a teacher, as a Learning Strategist, and an Executive Functioning Specialist, I bring a wealth of knowledge and understanding of both emotional and academic challenges. I have two decades of experience in the mental health sector, including in eating disorders, crisis management, and grief and loss. Additionally, I can personally empathize with the struggles that come with personal loss, growth and healing and offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space for you to explore your past, gain insight into your present, and move toward meaningful change.
My approach to therapy is deeply rooted in psychodynamic, and narrative principles, where we explore how past experiences continue to shape your current thoughts, behaviours, and emotional responses. In addition to this, I utilize a strengths-based approach, which focuses on identifying and building upon your innate strengths to overcome obstacles and create lasting change. I also integrate parts work, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused therapy. Through these approaches, we work collaboratively to help you feel empowered, and capable of making changes towards a happier and more fulfilling life.
As a Masters level clinician, I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults and help individuals navigate food/weight/shape preoccupation, and my approach involves supporting clients in building safety, flexibility, and trust with their bodies while also addressing the thoughts and patterns that show up in food and the body. Additionally, I have personally and professionally spent time moving through loss in various forms and believe it to be an honour to provide attuned and responsive care in times of grief and sorrow. I also work with those navigating significant life transitions, whether it’s shifting careers, managing relationship changes, or adapting to new life phases. These transitions can often feel overwhelming, but together, we’ll work through the emotional complexities and uncertainties they bring. I help those experiencing burnout and anxiety, particularly as a teacher myself, and provide support to manage overwhelming emotions and uncover the underlying causes of persistent feelings of fear.
My work extends to individuals who identify as neurodivergent, where I provide strategies to navigate the unique challenges that can present in daily life, work, and relationships. I support clients healing from trauma, helping them process past wounds, understand their impact, and move toward emotional freedom and healing. Whether you’re dealing with deep-rooted issues or simply seeking guidance through a difficult transition, I provide both in person (Toronto and Thornhill) and virtual therapy sessions to ensure you have access to the support you need and offer a free 50 minute consultation to ensure we’re the right fit to allow you to feel confident moving forward. Let’s take the next step together, so you can begin healing and feel less alone with whatever you are carrying
