Since a young age, I enjoyed talking to people and listening to the problems they have had. As I grew older, I learnt about the field of psychotherapy and decided that would be my future. Throughout my time at the University of Toronto, I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology which lead to my current program, my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University where I became a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). At the same time, I have worked in mental health institutions like Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences & Durham Mental Health Services, and saw the tremendous results proper mental health care can have on even the most serious mental health illnesses.
With me, You can express yourself freely as I encourage an open dialogue between therapist & client; an understanding of cultural context by looking to learn about you; and a desire to co-operate and work together to achieve goals, behaviours, & mindsets. I am capable of using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Humanistic therapy to create a treatment tailored to your needs and performed in a client-centred manner. Lastly, I encourage reflection & practice to develop newly developed skills, ideas, and behaviours to ensure a healthy mind.
