About…

(She/her)

Therapy is such a leap of faith. Good for you for considering it for yourself or for your teen. I hope I can offer you some support in navigating this complex mental health system and any related confusion or anxieties you may have. If you are interested in setting up a free 20-30 minute phone consultation, please send an email to therapy@kalilabadali.com

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from U of T/OISE. I provide individual brief and long term therapy as well as family therapy on a case-by-case basis. I started working in mental health because of my personal and professional passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals (Autism, ADHD, Learning Disability, Gifted etc.). I have worked with teens and young adults with a variety of challenges such as social isolation/anxiety, procrastination, emotion regulation difficulties, suicidal thoughts/intent, and relationship challenges.

I have a strong value for supporting individuals in the arts (musicians, actors, comedians, painters etc) and LGBTQ2S+ identifying people, many of whom are neurodivergent themselves and can’t always afford therapy. Many people don’t fit themselves under these categories. I welcome you here even if you don’t. Let’s have a conversation to see what you would like from therapy.

I use an eclectic approach to psychotherapy, which means I strive to tailor my approach to your needs by combining elements of psychotherapeutic modalities such as Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Relational, Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioural (CBT). The most important thing to know about my approach is that I believe in meeting you where you are at and collaborating with you on your goals, even if you don’t really know what your goals are yet!

If you are looking for my low-cost option, I provide 6 bi-weekly sessions or 12 weekly at the rate of $75/session. This policy is in place so I can continue being able to provide low-cost options to a variety of clients who need it. I have limited spaces available, but please let me know if you are interested in this option.

I have availability Mondays-Fridays 10:30-4pm (latest appointment time at the moment), in-person, online and over the phone.
