Hi, I’m Kasey. In many aspects of our lives, we may struggle to be our most authentic selves or even understand who we truly are at our core. In my practice, I am dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming environment where you can explore and express your true self without fear of judgment. I recognize that therapy can be a vulnerable and daunting experience, and I am committed to demonstrating the highest level of respect as you share your story and let me into your world. Together, we will safely examine your life experiences, their impact on you today, and embark on a healing journey toward the life and person you aspire to be.
My approach to therapy is relational, drawing from narrative therapy, internal family systems, mindfulness, and attachment theory. I adopt a client-centered and trauma-informed perspective to build a collaborative and meaningful therapeutic relationship that supports your progress. I strive to meet the unique needs of each client effectively.
My educational background is rooted in science obtaining a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from Wilfrid Laurier University with a minor in Biology and Psychology and a concentration in Health and Rehabilitation. My studies led me to a passion for research where I published my undergraduate thesis, and I continue to engage in research to remain updated on the latest discoveries in the mental health space to provide a high-quality of care to you. Also, I have experience and a deep commitment to working with diverse communities, including older adults, family caregivers, and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
On a personal note, therapy changed my life. I was diagnosed with a chronic illness at 12 years old and partaking in therapy was transformative for my overall well-being. After a hospitalization due to my illness, I came to understand that it’s okay to not always feel okay, to seek help when needed, and that nurturing our mental health is as crucial as taking care of our physical health.
I welcome you to connect with me so we can discover how I can best support and guide you on your healing journey. I look forward to meeting you!
