I am a Psychotherapy Intern working towards a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Throughout my education, my clinical interests largely focused on the connections between the bio/psycho/social/cultural domains of health, intersectionality, and the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I strive to work from an approach that is person-centred, trauma-informed, attachment-informed, anti-oppressive, neurodivergent affirming, and 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming.
Mental health is complex and deeply personal. I believe that each person is the expert in their own experiences and healing, and I am passionate about supporting you on your journey in a way that meets you as you are. My goal is to create a therapeutic foundation of honesty, authenticity, warmth, curiosity, and collaboration that will hold space for you to be all the parts of yourself. In our work together, we can shine light on your strengths, build upon your coping skills, deepen self-understanding and self-awareness, and explore new perspectives. To best support your personal goals, my approach draws from a variety of therapeutic frameworks including ACT, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, and DBT.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, doing film photography, moving my body in whatever way feels good, listening to music, watching tv shows or movies, and cuddling with my sweet cat Phoebe.
