Hello, and thanks for visiting!
*Please note that I currently only have weekday afternoon availability.
My name is Katie (she/her) and I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist with a background in Gestalt Therapy, Social Work, Expressive Arts, Internal Family Systems, and a variety of both practical and creative solution focused modalities. To learn more about my background and training, feel free to check out my website.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, non-pathologizing, and is informed by anti-oppressive and feminist (intersectional) values. I strive to create an open and unassuming space by showing up as myself, and by inviting my clients to show up as themselves.
People I work with have a diverse range of lived experiences, inclusive of the LGBTQI2S+ community. Work we do together involves exploring the here and now of what’s going on in your life (the present), and when relevant, seeks to clarify experiences from the past that still impact you today. Sessions are strengths-based with focus on increasing self-awareness, self-acceptance, and resilience while working towards restoring self-worth, creativity, joy, vibrancy, and healthy self-affirming boundaries.
Working with a person first approach, I don’t limit my practice to any specific issues but instead approach people as whole, complex, and multifaceted individuals. Topics I have experience navigating include depression, anxiety, trauma, substance/drugs/medication use and misuse (harm reduction) and relationship challenges.
Feel free to reach out for a 20 minute consultation at no charge to see if we might be a good fit! If for any reason we aren’t, I’m happy to support you in finding appropriate referrals and resources in the community.
I look forward to hearing from you!
*Low-Cost fee of $65 is available for short term therapy (up to 8 sessions) so that I can continue to provide this option to a variety of folks who need it.
