I recently completed a post-graduate program in psychotherapy (2019). During this program I completed 125 hours of direct client interaction under the supervision of a registered psychotherapist. Prior to this training, I completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology and have been working in the health and wellness industry for 12 years, primarily with manual therapy. I have also volunteered with a distress center service in previous years and have been educated in crisis intervention. I am currently taking additional trauma training.
I believe in providing a warm, safe, compassionate environment for my clients. I meet clients where they are in life and provide a judgement free zone. Everyone’s life is important and only they can decide what will work for them to achieve what they want out of life.
I use techniques such as, inner child work, focusing, chakra balancing or de-cording, body psychotherapy, talk therapy, connecting with subpersonalities, family of origin, guided meditations, two-chair, CBT, DBT, art therapy, among others.
I work with clients to develop ways to manage their feelings and develop healthy coping strategies. I work with a variety of the population that are dealing with:
- Life changes
- Low self-esteem
- Stress management
