(She/Her) It is so easy to get caught up in the stories we tell ourselves, and in the circumstances of our lives. We sometimes begin to lose sight of the bigger picture and live life as though there are no solutions to our situations. I have worked with individuals and families who have gone through immense challenges, all of whom have inspired me to further my training and help those willing and ready to seek assistance. I am passionate about people and continue to be amazed by the courage and strength of others. I firmly believe that we all have the capacity to bring about positive changes in our lives. Learning some strategies that can lead to improved coping and healing from painful experiences can be one of the best gifts you give yourself. Choosing to work with a therapist can be a difficult decision for anyone. I understand the apprehension that comes along with working with someone new and unfamiliar. One step at a time! Book a free 15-minute consultation. I would be honoured to have the opportunity to speak with you so I can explain the process and offer you some flexible and affordable options as you begin this important journey of self-discovery. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (Supervisor Carmen Jelly – Registered Psychotherapist). I received my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and my Bachelor of Arts (Specialized Honours, Psychology) from York University. I also have a diploma in Funeral Service Education from Humber College in Toronto and hold certifications in hypnotherapy and life coaching. I use elements from a variety of therapeutic approaches to support your growth, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment Theory, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems. I incorporate a trauma-informed approach to my work and have experience working with individuals from many diverse backgrounds. Experience: Behavioural Addiction, Anger, Anxiety, Body Image, Break-Ups/Divorce, Burnout/Stress, Childhood Abuse, Chronic Illness/Chronic Pain, Codependence, Depression, Emotional Blackmail/Narcissism, Food Issues, Grief/Loss, Relationship Challenges, Obsessive Compulsive Issues, Phobias, Self Esteem, Sexual Abuse, Trauma, People-Pleasing, Perfectionism, and Career/Vocational Changes and Challenges.
