My training includes 300+ hours of personal and group therapy! Having done “the work” ensures that I can support you safely and effectively; helps me appreciate your vulnerability, effort, and progress; and equips me to share the best of the many approaches, tools, and strategies I’ve experienced.
I offer online therapy to teens and adults, individuals, and couples. My experiences as a person of colour have made me sensitive to and supportive of all individuals with minority experiences.
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist who uses an integrative approach to uncover and relieve symptoms. Tools I use include Motivational Interviewing for change; Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for attachment issues with individuals and couples; Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness; and the somatic approaches of OEI (based on EMDR), Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping) and somatic experiencing to support trauma and parts work.
