Hi! I am a practicum counsellor currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Nursing, with additional Certification in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. I have been a Registered Nurse for 13 years, supporting individuals in a wide range of mental health settings, which has given me a deep appreciation for the complexity of personal experiences. My approach to therapy is warm, informal, trauma-informed, and client-centered, focusing on building a safe and trusting relationship foremost. I use an integrative approach to therapy, always tailoring interventions to be culturally sensitive and to meet the unique needs of each person. My hope is to help clients work towards growth and improved well-being using curiosity, authenticity, collaboration, compassion, and non-judgment. I welcome clients experiencing challenges with grief, trauma, stress, coping, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, or relationship concerns, as well as those navigating life transitions. I also have significant experience working alongside police and healthcare professionals, and bring a unique understanding to therapy for people from these professions looking for support. Ultimately, I am grateful for the trust placed in me foremost, and hope to create a positive and safe space for you to explore your concerns and celebrate your wins!
*Please note, as a practicum therapist, I am not certified in any therapeutic modality, but am informed by the modalities I have selected and use interventions from these theories in my practice.
