My name is Krystyna (Krys), and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I am deeply passionate about working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, self-esteem issues, and identity-based oppression, discrimination, or marginalization. I approach counselling with a non-judgemental attitude, empathy, understanding, and a genuine interest in helping you attain healing and enjoy the highest state of mental and emotional wellness. I am a resilience-centered therapist and a strong believer that every individual possesses strengths and internal resources for ultimate healing, and my role is to help you make the best use of them. I have a great appreciation for creating strong therapeutic alliances and holding a safe space to help you explore your lived experiences and resolve your problems by utilizing your strengths and resources. I strongly value honouring cultural diversity and intersectionality of every unique individual through culturally sensitive, anti-oppressive, affirmative, and respect-focused approaches to counselling. I use Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Mindfulness, and LGBTQI+ affirmative counselling. I understand that finding a therapist who is a good match may be quite challenging. Therefore, I offer free 15 minute consultations to discuss your therapy goals and determine if we would be a good fit.
