Hi there,
I’m Laura. I am a Masters of Counselling Psychology student currently completing my intern training at the CityU Calgary Clinic.
I believe that people have the capacity to move toward change and healing, even when things feel stuck or overwhelming. Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what’s going on, and begin to approach yourself with a bit more understanding and care. I work from a client-centred approach and see you as the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, bringing curiosity, respect, and support, as we explore what you’re experiencing and what might help things feel different.
I’m particularly passionate about supporting individuals navigating anxiety, stress, emotional regulation, identity exploration, weight management, and relationship challenges, especially when feeling stuck in patterns that are hard to shift. I also focus on eating disorders, disordered eating, self-esteem and body image concerns, and supporting people in developing more compassionate and sustainable ways of relating to their bodies and eating over time.
I aim to bring a warm, grounded, and collaborative presence to sessions. I know these experiences can be complex, and I try to honour that by creating a space where you don’t feel rushed, judged, or expected to have everything figured out.
If you’re looking for someone who will support you through difficult moments, help you better understand patterns, and build tools that feel realistic and meaningful, I’d be happy to connect.
Free counselling sessions available (in-person in Calgary or virtual).
