Accepting the need for support and finding a therapist can be overwhelming. Congratulations on taking the first step! You’re courageous, strong and already on the right path.
When our mental health is suffering, it can be relentless and all-consuming. It interferes with our ability to enjoy life. It changes our perspectives, relationships, and our ability to perform tasks and manage daily stressors, and it often seems impossible to stop. We find ourselves stuck in a cycle of negativity; we are overwhelmed, stressed, irritable, anxious and exhausted. You might feel hopeless, and even while contemplating therapy, you might think it will never work, feeling confused and discouraged. Whether your symptoms are new or longstanding, simply bothersome or debilitating, there is hope in the journey you are about to take.
In therapy, you will be met with compassion, empathy and genuine care for your well-being. I work with a person-centred approach, meaning our journey is about you, directed by you, and tailored to meet your needs. I utilize theoretical modalities like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), mindfulness and somatic therapy to create a holistic treatment plan. My goal is to have you feel empowered, living fully and peacefully, and equipped with a toolkit which you can draw from in future times of need. I am completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Additionally, I engage in regular supervision from a clinical supervisor who meets the requirements outlined by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
I offer free fifteen-minute consultations to see if we’d be a good fit. I would be honoured to be a part of this journey with you. I look forward to hearing from you!
