My personal journey has motivated me to support individuals facing mood disorders, relationship challenges, chronic physical/emotional pain, anxiety, family and complex trauma, the impact of a loved one’s incarceration, and childhood sexual trauma.
I deeply value your autonomy, experiences, and insights, recognizing them as vital components of our counselling journey. My approach is humanistic, focused on your strengths, oriented towards harm reduction, and informed by a deep understanding of trauma. I gravitate towards Narrative, Internal Family Systems, Compassion-focused, Somatic, and Emotion-focused approaches.
As a first-generation South Korean immigrant with over two decades in Canada, I empathize with the unique challenges international students and workers encounter, such as homesickness, long-distance relationships, and anxiety/stress related to immigration processes.
