Hi! I’m Lindsay.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor through the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada. Additionally, I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals. While I utilize a variety of approaches and interventions in my work, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is my favourite treatment modality.  I have experience in both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings providing support for substance and behavioural addictions, anxiety, depression, low-self esteem, relationship concerns, family of origin issues, intimacy disorders and insecure attachments.

My life experiences and education have led to a passion for supporting those who have experienced trauma, particularly related to sex, betrayal and attachment. My clinical specialization is in treating those who have experienced relationship betrayal (betrayal trauma) and/or are going through a breakup/divorce/separation and are struggling to navigate fear, uncertainty, low-self worth and loss of sense of self.

I am fascinated by the connection between the mind and body and I am a 200 hour certified yoga instructor, as well as I have additional training in trauma-informed yoga.

A strong therapeutic relationship and a personalized treatment plan are both incredibly important in the recovery process as there is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy. Therefore I welcome you to reach out to me to schedule a 20 minute free consultation to get a sense of my personality and counselling style to help you decide if I feel like a fit for you!
