Do you sometimes feel alone, misunderstood, or unsupported? Sometimes, all we need to cope with life’s hardships is someone to let us know that we do not have to carry all the weight alone. I am here to offer a compassionate, supportive, and collaborative space where we can work together to lighten your load, build resilience, and foster personal growth. Together, we can work on helping you feel lighter, calmer, and stronger. By understanding and working on old patterns while exploring new ones, we will work towards a balanced sense of well-being.
As a third-culture individual and immigrant woman, I understand the importance of celebrating our differences while finding common ground. This perspective shapes my approach, allowing me to appreciate the diverse experiences each person brings to therapy. My goal is to create a supportive and respectful therapeutic relationship, grounded in trust and acceptance.
I hold a BA in Psychology with minors in Educational Studies and Anthropology from the American University in Cairo. I furthered my studies with a Master of Education in Developmental Psychology and Education from the University of Toronto, and I’m currently in the final year of my Master of Science in Psychotherapy at McMaster University.
I use a variety of approaches in my work, drawing from modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy. Together, we will find the approach that works best for you, as I always aim to provide personalized and effective support. You are the expert in your own life, and I am only here to provide you with tools and strategies that will get you where you want to be.
I specialize in supporting individuals dealing with anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, life stress, adjustment issues, school-related stress, and challenges faced by newcomers. I offer services in English and Arabic. If you’re ready to explore new paths toward well-being, I’m here to walk that journey with you.
