Hello, my name is Maha Jawed (she/her). I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I offer therapy sessions to individuals and families virtually. As a therapist my goal is to make sure you are heard and valued. I am passionate about helping people reach their full potential, acknowledging how our mind and body impacts each other. I want to help you feel better both physically and mentally through support and fostering change.
I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment that allows you to explore emotions in a constructive way and make a positive change and attain personal goals. I focus on managing stress, reducing symptoms of anxiety, processing trauma and emotional pain. I tailor each session to you specifically so that I can better support and guide you. I follow a client-centered approach and believe that you are an expert on your own life therefore it would be a privilege for me to help you navigate your therapeutic journey. I have an Honors Bachelors in Child Development and have worked in various settings with children, individuals and families all over the world.
Currently, I am in my last year of my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
