I’m Mai Elramly, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), and I support clients through a compassionate, culturally responsive, and grounded therapeutic approach. My practice is rooted in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to offer a warm, safe environment where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or expectation. From that place of safety, we slow down, explore what’s feeling heavy or unclear, and work collaboratively toward meaningful change.
I integrate a range of therapeutic modalities, including strength-based and narrative therapies, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused approaches, and brief psychodynamic work. I choose these tools flexibly and intentionally, always centering your lived experience, cultural context, and personal goals. Clients often describe my style as warm and curious, with a balanced mix of honesty and gentleness—I will invite you to look inward, challenge patterns when needed, and also deeply respect your autonomy.
I love working with youth and adults – individuals or couples, caregivers, immigrants and first-generation clients, racialized individuals, members of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, and those navigating complex life transitions. My areas of focus include stress and burnout, mood disorders, identity and belonging, relationship concerns, self-esteem, intergenerational trauma, life transitions, and navigating systems that can feel overwhelming or invalidating. My background in health equity and community-centered care informs my commitment to anti-oppressive, trauma-informed practice.
Clients who work with me can expect a supportive space where their emotions, identities, and stories are honoured. My goal for our work together is to support you in building insight, reconnecting with your strengths, and developing practical skills and tools you can carry with you long after therapy ends.
