I know finding the right therapist can be really hard! I am here to support diverse individuals in whatever life stage they are at. I foster a space where clients can share their experiences openly without fear or judgment. I focus on depression and anxiety but understand that for each person this looks different and thus remain curious and open to understanding each of my client’s experiences. I always maintain a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed lens in my practice. I encourage introspection, self-compassion and hope that through our sessions clients can eventually support themselves.
Primarily practicing from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) perspective I aim to help individuals understand how their thoughts influence their emotions and how by gaining awareness of these thoughts and applying different strategies their suffering can be alleviated. I also incorporate lifestyle strategies and mindfulness into my practice.
Being client-centred is fundamental in my practice. I am dynamic and will regularly adjust my methods when needed to ensure I am providing the best possible care I can for each person I work with. Gaining your trust so that you feel accepted, encouraged and supported is the main priority I have as a clinician.
