Specialty areas: Anxiety, burnout, depression, grief, health-related challenges or chronic pain, neurodiversity, trauma, work-related stress.
Client focus: Therapy tailored to BIPOC communities (with a focus on South Asian communities), racial identity and discrimination challenges, immigration challenges, caregiver burden, compassion fatigue from high-pressure jobs (e.g. healthcare professionals, First Responders). I support individuals, couples, and families.
Therapy approach: Low cost therapy that is integrative (drawing from ACT, CBT, DBT, humanistic, somatic) and holistic (considering the mind-body connection). My approach is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, and grounded in cultural humility. Therapy with me is guided by your goals, focused on your strengths, and includes practical tools for reflection between sessions. I hope to create a space where you can be fully yourself, weaving in humour, inspirational quotes, and interactive exercises when it feels right for you.
About me: I’m a therapist intern at Your Story Counselling, currently completing a Master of Clinical Psychology degree in Psychotherapy at Adler Graduate Professional School. Before training as a psychotherapist, I studied neuroscience and public health and worked in healthcare for 12+ years (hospitals, government, and corporate settings). Outside therapy, you can find me walking my 2-year old Cockapoo, going on bike rides or hikes, and playing board games with friends and family.
