With a keen interest in helping people to navigate life’s challenges and transitions, I use a strength-based, trauma-informed, collaborative approach. I also utilize a social justice lens as I believe that societal norms can contribute to the barriers and challenges that people face. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive space for clients dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, grief, and life transitions. I draw upon various therapeutic modalities including Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Currently I am a counselling therapist intern who is completing my Master of Education in Counselling from Acadia University. I also have an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Women Studies. I am receiving supervision from Jason Tucker, MSW, RSW throughout my practicum.
