(She/Her)
Has someone you depended on, whether it be a spouse, parent, friend, or business, betrayed your trust or let you down? Has someone who held a position of power and safety in your life violated your wellbeing? These scenarios have a unique component: A survivor not only experiences abuse, neglect, or wrongdoing, but they also depend on the perpetrator for support and safety. Examples may include childhood trauma, infidelity, or being a partner of someone with sex or porn addiction. This unique experience is called betrayal trauma, and suffering can take many troubling forms including a sense of disconnection and emptiness, a lost sense of self, and intrusive thoughts.
As a Registered Psychotherapist in Qualification and a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, I work from a trauma-informed and person-centered perspective to meet the client where they are with a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental approach. I strive to provide a safe place for clients to explore and unravel their experiences so that they are able to begin healing from their past and reclaim their life.
Although my professional focus is on trauma and betrayal trauma, I also work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and other concerns. If you are ready to take the first step, I invite you to reach out. You’re no longer alone – I am here and would be honored to work alongside you through your healing journey.
