As a therapist, my primary goal is helping people reach a state of optimal functioning – however that may look for you. Whether you are looking for help navigating anxiety, depression, intense emotions, or other issues, my goal is to help you move forward. For some people this work may involve learning specific skills or processing difficult experiences within the safety of therapy. For others, just having a place to talk and sort through things provides them with what they need. I strive to adapt my approach to meet your specific needs as we work together to improve your life and functioning.
I believe in my clients’ inherent goodness and strive to help them remove the blockages that might prevent them from seeing themselves for who they really are. By taking a warm, sensitive, and flexible approach, with a bit of humor as well, I aim to empower my clients and focus on their strengths and inborn resilience. My practice is influenced by mindfulness and parts work, as well as CBT.
