About…

Sometimes life can seem overwhelming and you need support. Sometimes you may feel stuck in patterns or behaviors and you want new ways to meet life’s difficulties and challenges but you don’t know how to help yourself. I get that.  I work with individuals, age 18 and older.  My areas of specialties that I work with are:

  • anxiety
  • low self-esteem
  • life transitions
  • career difficulties
  • relationship issues
  • workplace stress and anxiety (I worked in HR in corporate world for 20+ years)
  • infertility (I have lived experience)
  • pregnancy loss (I have lived experience)
  • grief

In therapy, we identify and work on the traumas, limiting beliefs, negative self-talk, emotional patterns or behaviors that are causing you pain and hindering you from having the life you want. We will work with an end goal of getting your life back on track.  A life where you feel more present and in control.

My personal style as a therapist is one of heart centered warmth, compassion, kindness, along with a gentle humor. I am at my core a relationship builder and believe strongly in the power of human connection.

I use a holistic approach with my clients of psychodynamic therapy, elements of CBT, relational therapy (I’m all about your ‘story’), positive psychology, emotion focused therapy and body (somatic work). I also use mind/body techniques such as guided visualization and mindfulness.

I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to therapy – in open dialogue with my clients we collaboratively decide on goals and discuss approach.

I believe that we can all benefit from empathetic, objective, emotional support at certain times in our lives from a mental health professional – I know I have. I am passionate about taking care of our mental health and wellness and in normalizing the conversation around them. I believe being able to be open about our emotions and feelings as well as asking for support when needed is a strength and not a weakness.

As a therapist, it is an honor for me to connect and build relationships with my clients. Seeing a therapist takes commitment and courage, to witness my client’s hard work and transformation is for me, a gift. I value the opportunity to work in a deep authentic way with my clients.

It is my belief that feeling at ease & comfortable with your therapist is a large predictor of success in the therapist/client relationship & therapeutic outcome.
