Life is a journey that does not have to be taken alone. The challenges we face can be met together. I believe that many of the issues we experience can be overcome if we have someone by our side. Therapy should be a pathway to self-healing, and as a therapist, I hope to walk alongside you on this journey.
We are meaning-makers, and the ways we understand and interpret our world can be altered. New perspectives can bring new outcomes. It is sometimes hard enough just existing, but we do not need to do it alone. I offer a person-centered approach that emphasizes collaborative, cooperative planning, and draws from a variety of theories and techniques. Our core beliefs about existential truths may influence our mood and behaviour, and our meaning-making around these truths is within our control. We already possess the skills and knowledge about ourselves to be able to remove the impediments that prevent us from experiencing a full and authentic life. You are the expert on you, and I am here to accompany you.
