After ten years as a kindergarten teacher and as a mom myself, I understand children, teens, and the parents raising them in a way that goes beyond the textbook. If you are looking for someone who truly gets kids and the families around them, I would love to support you.
I work with self-esteem, teen therapy, and the perinatal and postpartum season, including the anxiety, overwhelm, and identity shifts that come with new parenthood. With younger clients I use play therapy and creative, developmentally attuned approaches so they can express what words cannot always capture.
My work also includes anxiety, depression, burnout, neurodivergence and giftedness in children, grief, and family and relationship challenges. As a therapist of African Canadian and Caucasian heritage, I bring care and awareness to identity and belonging.
My approach is warm, playful where it helps, and grounded in evidence-based methods including CBT, DBT, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative, solution-focused work, mindfulness, emotion-focused therapy, and play therapy.
You can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space for the whole family. Whether it is your child, your teen, or you in a tender new chapter of parenthood, I am glad to walk alongside you.
