About…

Need a safe space to explore and process your hard feelings?

Mélanie (she/her/elle) believes that clients are the true experts of their own lives and sees therapy as a collaborative journey. She is committed to co-creating a therapeutic relationship and individualized-care plan grounded in authenticity, empathy, and respect. While acknowledging the broader social contexts that influence your mental health, Mélanie aims to provide a safe space where you can experience healing through a culturally responsible and socially just foundation.

Her approach is based on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Person-Centered therapy and supportive counselling, and she aims to make therapy a safe, collaborative, non-judgmental space for you. More specifically, her specialties include life transitions, identity exploration/changes, grief, borderline personality disorder, ADHD and neurodiversity, emotional regulation, mindfulness, 2SLGBTQIA+ community, burnout, boundary setting, relationship conflicts and communication challenges.

With a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bilingual Honours Bachelor of Arts from York University and Université de Saint-Boniface, she has a strong background working with diverse populations impacted by financial insecurity, emotional dysregulation, and neurodiversity. Mélanie has worked in various roles, including disability case management, client service, and research assistance, all of which have provided a rich understanding of the complexities of human behaviour and mental health.
