Do you ever feel like you’re carrying a weight you can’t quite name—and wish someone could help you unpack it?
Hi, I’m Melissa. I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University.
With years of experience supporting individuals through grief and loss, I approach therapy with a deeply person-centred philosophy. My long-standing work in hospice care has strengthened my belief that healing unfolds differently for each person. I am committed to honouring each client’s pace, emotions, and inner wisdom throughout the therapy process.
I work with adults and teens (ages 16+) who are navigating stress, anxiety, depression, workplace challenges, and life transitions. I have a strong interest in helping clients clarify their values, build confidence, and move through periods of uncertainty with greater trust in themselves. My therapeutic style is warm, relational, and grounded in empathy, prioritizing emotional safety, empowerment, and respect so clients can explore their experiences with openness and authenticity.
Rooted in Solution-Focused, CBT, DBT, ACT, and Humanistic approaches, I view therapy as a collaborative journey. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and genuinely supported as they work toward healing, clarity, and meaningful change.
