Are you wanting to live a life that feels more authentic, easeful, and aligned with your values? Do you feel disconnected from self, others, or the world? My approach is to help you live a life that feels authentic through existential exploration of meaning and purpose. I work with individuals and couples (Gottman). Issues can arise from intergenerational trauma, childhood trauma, systemic oppression, and narcissistic abuse. This can look like relationship/relational issues, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, existential/identity crisis, self-exploration, and big life transitions (divorce, career change, having a baby). I lean towards CBT, Mindfulness, Somatic (polyvagal exercises) with an Existential-Humanistic lens, meaning I am client centered and place an emphasis on meaning and purpose. I am currently training in Sound Therapy with Toronto Sound Therapy, and have a background in Fine Arts. I support alternative lifestyles and approaches. Maybe all you know is that you are unhappy and need changes to occur, and someone to help you get there! You don’t need a specific reason to come to therapy. Together, we can figure out where these thoughts are coming from and work on strategies to improve your quality of life. I lean toward both the cognitive and somatic, tailoring sessions to you.
