You might find yourself overthinking every decision, replaying conversations, or worrying that you’ve disappointed someone. On the outside, you may seem capable and composed, but inside, you’re feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or exhausted from constantly trying to meet everyone’s expectations (maybe including your own).
As a Filipina therapist and the eldest daughter of an immigrant family, I understand how culture, family roles, and unspoken expectations can shape the way we see ourselves. When you’ve spent so much of your life being helpful, responsible, or “good,” it can be difficult to know what you want or to believe that your needs matter too.
Therapy with me is a space where we can slow things down and make sense of what has been weighing on you. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that may no longer be serving you, find ways to manage those loud, looping thoughts, and help you feel more comfortable making room for yourself.
