My name is Michelle (she/her/hers), and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a Therapist Intern at Your Story Counselling Services under the supervision of Judy Lui, Registered Psychotherapist. I am currently a student at Yorkville University doing my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
We all come from different places and have had different experiences in our lives, and I am happy to honour that and take that into account during our time in therapy. I believe our differences are what make us unique and special, and I’m happy to be able to collaborate with you with empathy, understanding, and without judgment. I’m passionate about empowering my clients and as such I take a strengths-based approach to counselling. My goal is to create a non-judgmental, safe, and inclusive environment where you will feel respected, seen, and heard.
We will draw upon techniques from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including: CBT, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques. My areas of interest are perinatal and postpartum mental health, anxiety, stress management, and life transitions. My goal is to help you find and capitalize on your strengths and will work to help find the best solutions for you. Feel free to contact me for a free 15-minute consultation and for more information.
