About…

My name is Michelle, I have a degree in Psychology from York University and I am currently a Masters candidate pursuing my degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Under the supervision of an approved Supervisor, I am qualified to practice on site at Evolution Psychotherapy and offer virtual sessions to clients that allows flexibility in scheduling, eliminates travel stress and allows them to remain comfortable in their own private spaces.

My previous experience in health care stems from my work as a Registered Massage Therapist. I have helped clients manage their pain and release stress physically and emotionally to enhance their well-being and provide them with an overall sense of peace.

I grew up as an elite athlete competing across Canada and in the US which led me to become a coach of national level athletes. My years as an athlete, raising two children as a single mom, one who has ASD and ADHD and someone with an ADHD brain, I’ve faced and overcome many challenges as it relates to physical and emotional mental health.

Everyone has unique life experiences, strengths, and needs. My approach draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities including Person-Centered & Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness practices to prioritize the client’s needs. I aim to foster a safe, trusting, and empathic environment where clients feel free to speak without fear of judgment and feel heard, understood, and validated. I strive to help clients overcome their challenges by developing coping strategies, building resilience, and empowering them towards positive change in
their lives.

I would be happy to connect with you for a free 15-minute consultation to see how I can assist you on your therapeutic journey.
