About…

Meet Mimi: warm, down-to-earth support for when life feels like a lot

Mimi has a way of making therapy feel way less intimidating than people expect. She’s warm, direct when it counts, and has a knack for using a bit of humour at the perfect time.

Many come to Mimi having talked themselves out of getting support for a long time. Maybe it felt like things weren’t “bad enough” to justify therapy, or like others have it worse, or like you should just be able to push through. Maybe you’ve tried to open up to people in your life and walked away feeling more misunderstood than before. Mimi gets that. She creates a space where you don’t have to qualify your pain or explain why you’re there. Whatever is making life harder than it should be right now, that’s reason enough.

Mimi takes a collaborative, client-centred approach and believes that real change tends to happen through small, consistent steps rather than dramatic or impulsive moments. She helps clients slow down, pay attention to what’s actually going on for them, and build from there; identifying strengths, developing practical coping strategies, and working toward goals they can feel genuinely good about. Her style is warm and grounded, and she brings both kindness and thoughtful directness to every session.

She has a particular interest in helping people who feel like they struggle to express themselves, in conversations, in relationships, at work, and who want to build more confidence in how they show up. Whether you’re feeling anxious, low, stuck in patterns that aren’t working, or going through a chapter of life that’s harder than it may look from the outside, Mimi’s goal is to work alongside you, making sure you feel supported, without pressure.

As a graduate intern therapist completing her Master’s degree in Psychotherapy, Mimi offers affordable therapy options with sessions at $45 for individuals and $55 for couples and families. She works under the clinical supervision of Joy Sereda, a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), Registered Social Worker (RSW), and Approved Clinical Supervisor for the CRPO and BCACC with 20 years of clinical experience.

If you’ve been thinking about trying therapy but haven’t quite taken the step,  or you’ve tried it before and want something that feels a little more real and a little less clinical, Mimi would love to meet with you.
