About me It is not uncommon for people’s lives to fall apart after experiencing trauma or other significant life challenges. Restoring hope to those who have endured hardship is one of my life’s greatest goals. I work with youth, children, and adults to improve their social skills and self-awareness so that they can live more independently and happily. I strongly believe that you are the expert on your own life and possess all the resources necessary to restore your sense of well-being. It is my responsibility as a psychotherapist to work collaboratively with you from your viewpoint and without prejudices.

Training and therapeutic approach I understand that one size does not fit all, which is why I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), of Meta-Cognitive Strategies, Mindfulness, and Trauma Informed Therapy. Using a non-invasive technique called biofeedback, I am also beginning my adventure and learning about neurological feedback to optimize EEG brain wave patterns. I’m working under the supervision of a qualified expert who has been in the profession since 1993.

Education and Experience My educational history include an MA in Counseling Psychology, a BA with honors in Forensic Psychology, and post-graduate certification in mental health and addictions. I’ve had experience working with children and youth to aid in their rehabilitation. In addition, I have experience working with women who have experienced domestic violence, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other addictions like substance abuse, compulsive shopping, gambling, etc. I also have expertise working with men in therapy and treatment settings to address issues like addictions, PTSD, low self-esteem, and mental health issues.

My lived experience and training allow me to help a wide spectrum of clients —including immigrants, queer individuals, Women and men with specific needs, adolescents, and those with intergenerational trauma.
