About…

(any/all pronouns) As a therapist, I believe in allowing things to be as complicated as they are. I strive to show up as warm, genuinely caring, and authentic in the therapy room. I meet people where they’re at in their journey, and for a lot of us, that means not oversimplifying the at-times-contradictory experiences of being human. As a queer person myself, I am especially passionate about supporting LGBTQ2S+ clients, and I work from a queer theory lens, which means for clients of all genders and sexualities, we might question the origins, helpfulness, and intentions of “I am not good/normal/productive enough” stories. Our work together may involve making sense of experiences by re-telling your story in the context of your values, skills, and preferences.

Find you easily forget what was talked about, even in a great therapy session? In narrative therapy, my primary modality, we may also create some therapeutic documents (co-written documents for you to keep about the work we do together!), and I may write you some therapeutic letters as a part of our process (if desired).

I strive to create a neurodiversity-affirming space, meaning you are welcome to express yourself comfortably and authentically. You can bring your (special) interests into therapy; they can be an excellent site for us to understand together what is most important to you! It is important to me to provide accessible therapy, and it would be an honour to be a part of your journey. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
