I am a graduate of City University of Seattle. As a registered clinical counsellor (RCC) & a Canadian certified counsellor (CCC), I specialize in interpersonal violence that includes sexualized violence, racialized violence, workplace violence, and partner violence. I work with issues of grief, loss, and suicidality. Also, I support family members whose loved ones struggle with suicidal behaviours or who have lost loved ones to suicide. My practice is trauma-informed and trauma-specific. I work with individuals, drawing on therapeutic methods such as narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, the response-based practice framework, motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. I incorporate concepts from structural family therapy and intergenerational family therapy. Addressing the physiology of trauma and examining the types of trauma, such as acute, chronic, and complex, are essential to my work.
