I believe that we all have innate healing abilities, inner strength, and the capacity for growth to move in directions that are meaningful to us. The path to healing is not linear, but a process of mindful shifts and changes that grow into something much stronger.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists, and an Art Therapist with the Canadian Art Therapy Association. I have been working in the field since 2011, specializing in working with children, youth and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, grief, and trauma. I have worked in various settings including non-for-profits, agencies, and private practice. I have worked with various ages from age 4 to 65, and diverse backgrounds. I use a client-centered and strength based approach integrating my training in Art Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) including TF-CBT, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Psycho-educational and Mindfulness. I provide a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore the areas most important to them. Working in partnership with the client.
My practice focuses on supporting the client on their pathway to healing. It considers a holistic approach to therapy and the belief that client’s are the experts of their own life. The guiding principles of the practice are connection with inner wisdom, finding balance, the interconnectedness of our experiences, and integration of mindfulness. The journey ahead is one of discovery, insight, and empowerment.
