Norah (she/her/hers) Thank you for coming to visit my page! I am an artist and expressive arts therapist registered with the Ontario Expressive Arts Therapy Association.
In my practise so far, I have collected a unique portfolio of experience. I have spent much of my time in First Nations communities throughout Treaty 3, and Treaty 9 Territory. As many of these places are fly-in only I would often spend 2-7 days in the community. It was through these incredible experiences that I learned much of the foundation I lean on today as a trauma informed therapist.
My core approach stems from the belief that everyone has a unique creative capacity within themselves. In my work with folks, I strive to support them in discovering and developing that ember that is creative capacity. Together we work to build upon practical tools that exist inside the individual. I use a variety of modalities with expressive arts being the main pillar of my practise. I use a client lead, resource focused approach to all of my work. You are the expert in your story, and I am the companion accompanying you on this healing journey.
It is important to take time to get to know each person I have the privilege of working with. From the relational foundation that we build there is space to develop a structure and outline some goals that they hope to reach throughout the therapeutic relationship. I am happy to offer a free 30-minute consultation to answer any questions, and help people get a better understanding of whether I am the best fit for their therapy journey.
