About…

My name is Noushin Khasteganan. I am a Canadian Certified Addiction Counsellor #50017 (from Canadian Addiction Counsellor Certified Federation) and I am in the process of becoming a Registered Psychotherapist. I am practicing psychotherapy under the supervision of Hossein A. Sani , CRPO #003568.

I graduated from medical school in 1996 from Iran and have worked more than 16 years as an addictionologist. After immigration to Canada I applied to McMaster University (Hamilton ON.) and earned “Addiction Care-worker Diploma”.  I became CCAC in 2019, have applied to become an RP.  I am now in the middle of the process and working under supervision.

My therapeutic approaches are CBT and Schema Therapy. I have a great deal of experience in providing therapy for Addiction and Addictive behaviours and Crisis intervention.  I also work at the Distress Centre of Great Toronto (DCGT) and Canada Suicide Prevention Services (CSPS).
