Hello! My name is Omar (he/him), and I live on Treaty 6 land. I am completing my practicum through City U’s Master of Counselling program. As a counselling intern, I employ various therapeutic modalities to support you in your journey toward healing and growth. My practice is informed by the diverse life experiences I’ve encountered, particularly my work with incarcerated individuals, but I welcome all types of presenting issues.
I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space for individuals facing challenges such as addiction, anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, and multicultural issues. Whether you’re dealing with feelings of inadequacy, trust issues, infidelity recovery, or searching for purpose, I’m here to help you navigate your concerns.
I am passionate about supporting clients struggling with:
- Addictions and Compulsions
- Anxiety and Depression
- Life Transitions
- Men’s Issues
- Incarceration Issues
- Workplace and Communication Problems
- Rejection and Worthlessness
- Multicultural Concerns
Outside of counselling, I enjoy camping, exploring the world through travel, practicing competitive mixed martial arts, and playing guitar. I believe that each person’s path to healing is unique, and I strive to walk alongside my clients as they discover their strength and resilience. I look forward to working together and helping you achieve meaningful change.
