I come to the field of psychotherapy with deep compassion, a strong commitment to equity, and over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and families as an educator. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a school teacher and later as a professor at the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College. My focus was on early learning, special education, and creating inclusive spaces where all students could thrive especially those with unique learning needs or facing systemic barriers.
Throughout my career, I’ve believed in the power of empathy, structure, and genuine relationships to support growth and healing. That belief now guides my work as a therapist. I bring a warm, relational approach and a deep respect for each person’s story, strengths, and capacity for change.
In addition to my educational background, I’ve pursued training in Guidance and equity-centered education, and have been recognized for my work through awards such as the 2023 Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence and the 2024 Director of Education Commendation.
I’m currently completing my MACP practicum at Nuirish Psychotherapy and am honoured to support clients on their therapeutic journey. I work with adults and youth navigating life transitions, anxiety, self-esteem, ADHD, and more. My approach is affirming, collaborative, and grounded in creating a safe, inclusive space where you can explore, heal, and grow.
