Each of us has a unique and powerful story that deserves to be heard and validated. I believe in meeting people where they are and walking alongside them on the journey of exploring themselves and their strengths that precede healing, restoration, and growth. I am committed to empathetic listening and providing a safe space that is filled with genuine curiosity and a non-judgmental stance.
I employ an eclectic approach that is client-centered, anti-oppressive, and culturally sensitive, drawing from various theoretical orientations. I have experience working with clients struggling with substance use and related mental health disorders, survivors of sexual abuse, and a history of trauma. My lived experience helps me understand the challenges of immigrants and BIPOC communities and provides them with culturally appropriate skills and coping strategies to expand their resilience. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem, and suicidality in youth and adults.
To refuel myself, I engage in traveling, playing string instruments, Netflix crime thrillers, and of course, food!
