I am a community psycho-spiritual therapist, grounded in my work in spiritual care and supported by the evidence-based modalities of DBT, CBT, narrative therapy, somatic therapy and EFT. I was trained at University Health Network (Toronto Rehab, Toronto General, Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto Western) and St. Michael’s Homes, an addictions outpatient program centre. I am focused on politicizing therapy through the teachings of mad studies, addressing the social location of clients and how they are impacted by the loss of power in their lives that contributes to grief and anxiety. I bring in the wholeness of the human being through a holistic, decolonial, trauma-informed, anti-capitalist and client-centred approach.
I have experience in addictions and mental health, running group DBT programs for clients who are struggling with drug and alcohol addictions. Not only do we discover the deep-rooted pain together, but we will also set actionable goals to balance both radical acceptance and change.
Compassion, empathy, and nonjudgment are the foundations of my practice. I have gone through my own healing journey, which has also allowed me to help others in their journey.
