Reaching out for support and prioritizing your mental health is a monumental step, and I am honoured to accompany you on this journey. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying) and practicum student completing my Master of Counselling Psychology. I offer empathic, personalized, client-focused care and work from a holistic framework that integrates all aspects of your life. I prioritize trauma-informed, anti-oppressive practices that consider the role of intersectionality for all clients, particularly BIPOC.
I am also a Lebanese-Canadian immigrant, and this gives me a unique understanding of challenges inherent to cultural integration and the immigrant experience. I approach each client with cultural humility and sensitivity, and recognize the importance of incorporating your personal values into therapeutic interventions. My counselling framework is integrative, meaning that I draw on a number of modalities, such as person-centered therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, and solution-focused therapy, in order to tailor the counselling process to each client’s needs.
I support clients with a variety of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, suicide ideation, and trauma. No matter what you bring into our sessions, you will be met with non-judgement, respect, collaboration, and the acknowledgment that you are the expert of your own life. I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, supported, and validated, and I am committed to providing you with the highest level of care.
