As a therapist in training, I am dedicated to helping individuals build on their strengths and overcome challenges through a strengths-based approach. With a background in neuroscience and psychology from my undergraduate studies, I have developed a deep understanding of the intricate workings of the brain and how they impact our thoughts, behaviors, and emotions.
My passion for mental health and understanding the inner psyche led me to pursue a master’s degree in mental health at the University of Toronto. During my studies, I gained valuable experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including racialized, LGBTQ, and neurodivergent populations.
My emphasis on inner strengths and knowledge drives my approach to therapy, as I believe that every individual possesses unique strengths and abilities that can be harnessed to achieve their goals. I also strongly believe in the importance of diversity, and I strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for all of my clients.
My experiences have taught me that mental health is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and I work closely with each client to develop a personalized treatment plan that meets their individual needs. As a therapist in training, I am committed to continuing my education and staying up-to-date with the latest research and therapeutic techniques to provide the best possible care to my clients.
