I believe that every client is the skillful architect of their own life, and as a therapist, my goal is to empower you to reconnect with your authentic-self and create the change you desire. It takes immense strength, courage and trust to share oneself vulnerably, and I aim to create a nurturing, compassionate and empathetic environment where you will feel seen, heard and safe to openly express yourself. I work collaboratively with you through mindful exploration, reflection, integration and acceptance of your thoughts, behaviours and emotions to address any challenges while we piece together your unique story and shift you from a place of surviving to one of thriving.
I work from a humanistic, strengths-based, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive framework and have extensive experience working with survivors of sexual violence; abuse and trauma; depression; anxiety; grief and loss; low self-worth and difficulties in relationships. My practice is inclusive of all gender identities and the entire LGBTQI2S+ community.
I am currently in the final year of a Masters of Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto, and receive regular clinical supervision from a Registered Psychotherapist as part of the process to register as a qualifying member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I also hold a Professional Counsellor Diploma from Rhodes Wellness College in Vancouver, BC, where I worked as a mental health counsellor in private practice and at the Vancouver Women’s Health Collective. I am trained in a wide range of therapeutic approaches including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Relational Psychotherapy, DBT, ACT and other Mindfulness-based interventions.
